Actor Vladimir Baranov died at the age of 70.

Theater and film actor Vladimir Baranov, known for the TV series "Streets of Broken Lanterns", "Secrets of the investigation" and "Bandit Petersburg", died at the age of 70. This was announced on October 10 by the Ryazan State Regional Theater of the Young Spectator.

"Vladimir Nikolaevich Baranov, an artist of our theater, died today," the theater said in a post on the VKontakte social network.

Baranov graduated from the Yaroslavl Theater College. From 1979 to 1996, he performed on the stage of the Leningrad Bryantsev Youth Theater, then worked at the Youth Theater on Fontanka and the Experimental Theater. During his career, the actor has performed more than 70 roles.

In 2013, Baranov became an artist of the Ryazan Youth Theater, where he played 29 roles. Among his works are Werner in "Princess Mary", Richard Willey in the play "No. 13", Brother Lorenzo in "Romeo and Juliet", Melnik in "Anna Snegina", Ivolgin in "The Idiot" and gorodnichy in "The Inspector General". In the movie, the actor performed 88 roles.

The theater staff called Baranov an artist of rare talent and noted that his characters were remembered by the audience regardless of the scale of the role. The theater expressed its condolences to the actor's family and friends.
