The Boston Bruins beat the Philadelphia Flyers on home ice in the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season match. The match ended with a score of 5:1.

Russian striker Marat Khusnutdinov scored in the 42nd minute, scoring Boston's third goal. Pavel Zaha, Mason Lorey, Casey Mittelstadt and Fraser Minten also scored for the hosts, while Porter Marton scored the only Philadelphia goal.

Philadelphia suffered its sixth defeat in a row at the start of the season and remains winless so far. The team scored two points and occupies the last place in the Metropolitan Division, while Boston led the Atlantic Division with eight points, the hockey club has four wins in six matches.

The next match is scheduled for the night of October 12, Moscow time: Philadelphia will play against the Carolina Hurricanes, and on the morning of October 14, Boston will play against the San Jose Sharks.

The Pittsburgh Penguins lost to the Columbus Blue Jackets in an away match of the NHL regular season. The match, which took place on October 9, ended in a shootout with a score of 3:2. In regular time, Damon Siverson scored goals for Columbus in the 11th minute and Matthew Olivier in the 32nd minute. Brian Rust (35) and Russian forward Evgeni Malkin (44) scored for Pittsburgh.
