The PSB talked about the development of a unified digital finance infrastructure

The PSB has built a digital circuit that includes, on the one hand, the issuance, accounting, storage and exchange of digital currencies and assets, and, on the other, the integration of banking and digital financial products into a single system. This was announced by Olga Myamlina, Deputy Chairman of the bank, at the Global Digital Forum plenary session.

According to her, digital finance is currently undergoing a revolutionary development and the law on digital currencies, which came into force on September 1, has opened up new opportunities for the PSB.Myamlina said that the Tokeon PSB platform develops two main areas — a digital product factory and an information system operator (OIS), as well as a digital depository. The platform is designed to work with CFA, as well as to account for digital currencies and rights. In addition, in 2024, the bank created the A7 company, which provides cross-border settlements for Russian businesses.

"Thus, PSB has built a digital circuit that has opened up completely new scenarios for the synergy of products of different economic nature. Examples of such synergies and a systematic approach can be used, among other things, to accelerate the implementation of AI tools, especially in the face of external constraints," Myamlina said.

She also presented the results of a PSB study on the introduction of artificial intelligence in the public administration of Russian regions. According to the data obtained, the initiators of the introduction of AI are often not the relevant federal executive authorities, but industry-specific federal agencies. At the same time, the success of technology implementation largely depends on the digital literacy of the management staff.

According to Myamlina, the development of digital technologies in the regions contributes to an increase in demand for non-banking services, improving the quality of borrowers and increasing the tax base. She said that the PSB is ready to organize the release of regional CFAs on the Tokeon platform to attract funding for the implementation of the National AI Implementation Plan.
