FPV drone operators destroyed artillery and UAV control points in their area

Calculations of FPV drones of the unmanned Systems Forces (UAVs) as part of the 275th self-propelled artillery regiment of the Zapad group of forces destroyed artillery guns and control points for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kharkiv region. This was announced on October 8 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

Before combat use, drones are tested and refined based on the task at hand, after which suitable ammunition is installed on them. Fragmentation ammunition with ready—made striking elements is used to destroy manpower, and cumulative ammunition is used against artillery and equipment.

"Whatever task is received, whatever the equipment, we will fly. Often comes (a task. — Ed.) — this is an artillery piece. We work mainly to suppress enemy artillery, but there are other targets: this is the enemy's UAV launch point, as well as enemy personnel, light armored vehicles," the head of the FPV calculation with the call sign Shkolnik shared the details of the work.

The ministry noted that the drones of the Zapad group of forces conduct reconnaissance around the clock and transmit the coordinates of military installations, command posts, positions, dugouts, weapons and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. FPV drones are also used to destroy ammunition caches, UAVs, repeaters and remote antennas.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the military personnel of the 275th regiment highly appreciate the capabilities of domestic devices, including fiber-optic drones. Such drones are not affected by electronic warfare and allow for high-quality video transmission. The calculations account for hundreds of damaged weapons, drones, equipment and communications equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the ministry, the losses of the Ukrainian side in the encirclement amounted to up to 30 militants per day.
