Saudi Arabia has increased oil pumping through the key East—West oil pipeline to more than 80% of its capacity, while the volumes available for export from the country's west coast reached their highest levels during the war in Iran. This was reported by Bloomberg on October 2.

"Saudi Aramco state—owned company pumped about 6 million barrels per day through the East—West pipeline. <...> Taking into account supplies to refineries on the west coast of Saudi Arabia, the company now has about 4.5 million barrels per day available for export," the material says.

The company quickly increased supplies through a pipeline with a capacity of 7 million barrels per day after operating at about half of its capacity earlier this week, the article notes. The increase in exports contributed to lower oil prices, with Brent trading below $100 per barrel.

On September 28, Saudi Arabia restored exports via the East—West oil pipeline. The pipeline was shut down on September 11. The reason for the suspension was due to precautionary measures after a series of attacks. The world's largest oil exporter redirected about 4 million barrels per day through this artery to the Yanbu port on the Red Sea. This volume accounts for approximately 4% of global shipments.
