The Russian side will continue to develop relations with Serbia even after the resignation of President Aleksandar Vucic. This was announced on September 28 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"Of course, relations between Russia and Serbia are much higher. Our relations will be further developed in all areas," he said at a briefing.

Vucic resigned on September 27. Now he intends to participate in the upcoming elections as the candidate of the Serbian Progressive Party for the post of Prime Minister. Supporters gathered at his residence in Belgrade.
