Corporal Zakharov evacuated wounded colleagues from a tank under attack by FPV drones

Corporal Alexey Zakharov, who was performing combat missions as part of the tank's crew, evacuated wounded colleagues from the tank under a raid by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and took them to the evacuation point. This was announced on September 28 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

It is specified that Zakharov's tank crew was ordered to secretly advance into the area of offensive operations by Russian troops, take up a firing position and support them with fire when the assault groups began. The military, skillfully using the terrain and determining in advance the places of possible shelters along the way, stealthily brought the combat vehicle into position. When the attack aircraft began to advance, the tank struck the AFU firing points, which made it possible to quickly occupy a fortified stronghold and send reinforcement groups to continue the offensive.

While advancing to a safe area, the combat vehicle was detected by enemy aerial reconnaissance and attacked by FPV drones. The crew commander and the gunner-operator were injured — Zakharov evacuated them from the car and provided first aid in a safe place, after which he brought them to the medical unit, from where they were transported to the rear areas. Thanks to the courage and determination of the corporal, the lives of Russian servicemen were saved and the combat mission was completed.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the actions of Corporal Dmitry Shulgin, who performed a reconnaissance mission as part of the UAV crew. During the task, Shulgin detected the movement of two enemy assault groups in the direction of the defensive positions of the Russian troops. The fighter promptly transmitted the coordinates to the command post of the artillery units and notified the commander of the unit occupying the defense about the approach of enemy attack aircraft.

Continuing to conduct surveillance, the corporal received the task of correcting artillery fire. Due to the accuracy of the target designation, the enemy assault groups were destroyed. After that, the military continued to carry out the task in a given area. Thanks to Shulgin's experience and professionalism, the enemy suffered losses in manpower and was unable to achieve their goals in an important tactical area.

On September 27, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that Guard Senior Lieutenant Ramil Daushev had killed three Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters and ensured the advance of his group during an assault on an enemy stronghold. In addition, the department noted the actions of Sergeant Nikolai Kuznetsov. The commander of the gun, as part of the artillery crew, discovered the enemy's approaching FPV drone and destroyed it with small arms, after which he continued to complete the task.
