In Transbaikalia, four bears were eliminated in a day

In the Krasnochikoysky district of the Trans-Baikal Territory, mobile hunting groups eliminated four bears that posed a threat to the local population. This was announced on September 27 by the regional Ministry of Natural Resources in the "Maks" messenger.

Specialists promptly went to the places where the predators appeared and assessed the situation. The ministry stressed that the measures taken made it possible to prevent dangerous encounters between residents and wild animals. Decisions to eliminate bears were made to protect human life and health.

The Ministry recalled that 85 mobile groups, which include 275 hunters, have been created in Transbaikalia to promptly respond to animal attacks on populated areas.

Due to the activity of wild animals, the authorities of the region appealed to citizens to temporarily refrain from visiting forests. Residents were urged to postpone picking mushrooms and berries, fishing and picnics. Special attention should be paid to the safety of children.

The Ministry of Natural Resources of Transbaikalia also warned that when meeting a bear, it is strictly forbidden to approach it, feed it or try to photograph the animal from a close distance. You should also not approach the cubs. If a predator appears within the boundaries of the settlement, it is necessary to immediately inform about it by calling 112 or 102, indicating the exact time and place of the meeting.
