In 2026, demand for electric cars and hybrid cars with mileage in Moscow increased by 26.6% compared to January-August 2025. Interest in new electrified cars has remained at the same level. Over the past eight months, demand for new electric vehicles and hybrids has grown by 14% year—on-year, and in the secondary market by 47%. The most popular models among users among new cars are the Evolve i-Space, Voyah Free, Geely EX5 EM-i, Evolve i-Joy and Exeed Exlantix ET, and in the secondary market — Toyota Camry, Voyah Free, Nissan Leaf, Li Auto L9 and Toyota Prius.

The share of electric vehicles and hybrids now stands at about 10-12% in Moscow and 5% in the regions. In the summer of this year, the demand for new cars of this type in the capital increased by 22.5%, and for used cars — by 28.4%.

According to Deptrans, the number of electric cars in the capital has increased by more than 150 times since 2015. Interest in eco-friendly transport continues to grow, now the number of such vehicles reaches 40.4 thousand units. Over the past six years, the project has installed more than 450 electric charging stations (EPPS) in more than 100 districts on the road network.
