Two people died in an accident in the Seversky district of the Krasnodar Territory: the driver lost control and drove off the roadway, crashing into an obstacle. This was announced on September 23 in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the region.

"Today, at about 17:40 on the highway "urban–type settlement Afipsky - Smolenskaya village", a 72-year-old Lada car driver did not choose a safe speed, lost control, drove off the road, crashed into an obstacle and overturned. As a result of the accident, the driver and his 45-year—old passenger died at the scene before the ambulance arrived," the publication says in the "Maks" messenger.

It is specified that law enforcement officers are currently conducting an investigation into the accident. The police are investigating all the circumstances and causes of the fatal accident.

On September 23, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia reported that 341 accidents had been recorded on Russian roads over the past day, 37 people were killed and 390 injured. 25 of the dead were drivers and passengers. As a result of 87 accidents involving pedestrians, 11 people were killed, and 78 more were injured in various degrees of severity.
