Bakanov announced an increase in Russia's satellite constellation to 400 units.

Russia has launched about 60 spacecraft into orbit this year, and the domestic satellite constellation has reached almost 400 vehicles. This was announced on September 22 by the head of "Roscosmos" Dmitry Bakanov.

"The combined group has reached almost 400 spacecraft and satellites," he said at a meeting with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

According to Bakanov, telecommunication satellites, navigation systems and Earth remote sensing devices are among the devices launched this year.

It is also noted that two private satellites for high-detail imaging of the Earth's surface are planned to be launched from the Vostochny cosmodrome in October. The head of the state corporation clarified that both optical-electronic surveillance spacecraft have completed all the necessary tests and have already been delivered to the cosmodrome.

Bakanov noted that the satellites will expand the grouping of Earth remote sensing devices and provide highly detailed images of the planet's surface at any time of the day.
