A petition has appeared on the website of the Government of Ukraine with a proposal to change the text of the anthem, making it more optimistic. This was reported on September 21 by the Ukrainian edition "Страна.иа ".

"In three days, the petition has gained 1,152 signatures out of the 25,000 required," the Telegram channel says.

The author of the initiative proposes to preserve the music, but to update the words, strengthening the meanings of peace, life, love, unity and prosperity in them. In particular, the lines that "neither the glory nor the will of the country have died yet" are proposed to be replaced with the words: "Ukraine's glory and freedom are flourishing."

On July 6, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine proposed introducing a second national anthem. We are talking about the approval of the spiritual anthem of Ukraine "Great God, one." According to the bill, it is planned to be performed immediately after the national anthem. At the moment, the document has been sent for consideration to the relevant committee of the Rada.
