A new Bugatti has been registered in Russia for the first time in 13 years

In Russia, the Bugatti W16 Mistral hypercar from the 99-copy series has been registered. This was announced on September 21 by the director of the analytical agency "Autostat" in his Telegram channel.

The Bugatti W16 Mistral hypercar was registered in Russia in August. This is the first such case since 2013, when a new car brand was last registered in the country, the analyst noted.

According to "Autostat", during the entire observation period, only 17 Bugatti cars were imported to Russia, of which only six were new, the rest were delivered with mileage.

The Bugatti W16 Mistral debuted in 2024. The model is based on the Chiron hypercar and is equipped with an 8.0-liter W16 engine with four turbines, which develops 1600 hp and 1600 Nm of torque. The maximum speed of the model reaches 453.91 km/h — this figure was recorded as a world record for production open cars in November 2024. Production of the W16 Mistral ended in July 2026 at the company's factory in Molsheim, France.

Many of the 99 copies of the Bugatti W16 Mistral are customized cars that are custom-made according to the wishes of a particular customer. The standard version of the hypercar was estimated at about €5 million.

As reported on September 9, Porsche got rid of shares in Bugatti Rimac and Rimac Group. The sale will bring the company about €1 billion in revenue. The Porsche AG Group will allocate €250 million of this amount to further finance its pension obligations.
