More than 2.8 million people in Moscow voted remotely in two days

More than 2.8 million people participated in remote electronic voting (DEG) in the elections of deputies of the State Duma in Moscow in the first two days. This is evidenced by data from the voting monitoring service.

As of the morning of September 20, 2,825,014 ballots were issued during voting in the federal electoral district in the elections of deputies of the State Duma of the ninth convocation. At the same time, the system received 2,741,298 completed forms.

Elections of deputies of the State Duma, as well as municipal deputies of the Shchukino district, are held in the capital for three days — from September 18 to 20. Adult citizens of Russia who have permanent registration in Moscow can take part in them.

From September 18 to 20, Russians elect federal and regional deputies, as well as governors — who are trying to interfere with the process.

According to the CEC of Russia, the turnout for the State Duma elections as of 7:55 a.m. (Moscow time) on September 20 was 45%. Vladimir Vysotsky, Chairman of the Election Commission of the Donetsk People's Republic, said that the turnout for the elections in the region had reached about 80% by 15:00 on the first three days of the main vote. Within the framework of a single voting day in 2026, about 20.7 thousand deputy mandates and elected positions will have to be distributed.
