Trump proposed renaming AI to "higher intelligence"

US President Donald Trump has taken the initiative to rename artificial intelligence (AI), considering the current definition to be unsuccessful. The head of state published his proposal on September 19 on the Truth Social network.

According to the American leader, the existing terminology does not reflect the real capabilities and scale of the technology. Trump stressed that many people find the words "artificial intelligence" insufficiently expressive.

"Many people think that the words "artificial intelligence" are not accurate and are very controversial in relation to AI. A much more elegant and accurate description of this new phenomenon would be Superior Intelligence, Extreme Intelligence, or Supreme Intelligence," he wrote.

The President noted that his proposal is in the nature of a survey. Trump called on the audience to determine for themselves which of the proposed names is best suited to characterize this "ever-growing revolution."

On that day, The Hill newspaper reported that a lawsuit had been filed in the Federal District Court for the Northern District of California against leading technology companies involved in artificial intelligence developments. The organizations Anthropic, OpenAI, Space XAI and Google are accused of alleged collusion to slow down the pace of technology development.
