Eight giraffes from Namibia were delivered to Kazan.
Eight giraffes from Namibia were brought to the Kazan Zoo for the first time in history. This was announced on September 18 by the press service of the city Hall.
The animals were flown to Russia by IL-76 aircraft, which was the first such case in 19 years. The group included three males and five females of the Angolan giraffe subspecies. After the flight, the animals arrived safely in Kazan and are now in the giraffe house under the supervision of specialists.
