The manufacturer of electric vehicles "Atom" plans to produce up to 10 thousand cars in 2026-2027. This was announced on September 16 by Igor Povarazdnyuk, General Director of "Kama" JSC.
At the moment, the production of electric vehicles has already been launched at the "Moskvich" plant, and the first cars are being handed over to customers who have made advance reservations. In the near future, "Kama" expects to increase productivity to 20 vehicles per shift, which will speed up the fulfillment of accumulated orders.
"We are busy reaching the capacity of up to 20 cars per shift, which will allow us to quickly meet the pre-booking already made, and reach a total of up to 10,000 electric vehicles in 2026 and 2027," TASS quoted him as saying.
Povarazdnyuk also drew attention to the localization level of "Atom" production. According to him, the figure now reaches 70%.
Povarazdnyuk added on September 16 that "Atom" plans to start working on new models based on its own technology platform in 2027. According to him, in the near future, the company will focus on the development of the current product, primarily in terms of digital capabilities.
