Lavrov noted the appearance of a "metastasis of Nazism" in Europe
The metastases of Nazism are visible in Europe, including Germany. This was stated on September 17 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov at the opening of the IV Congress of the International Russophile Movement.
"The fact that, in addition to openly supporting the Nazi regime in Ukraine, the metastases of Nazism are already visible in Europe itself, including in Germany, is, of course, a very serious call," Lavrov said.
The Russian Foreign Minister also drew attention to the words of German Chancellor Friedrich Merz about his intention to make Germany the main military force in Europe. According to Lavrov, such statements evoke historical associations in him and demand that everything possible be done to prevent a repeat of the catastrophes of the past.
In addition, the minister said that Russia will be able to respond to external challenges to its security and development of the country.
"Russian Federation will find opportunities anyway, we have such opportunities to give an adequate response to external challenges to its security, its development, the well-being of our citizens, the well-being of those who want to be friends with our country, who want to touch the Russian world," Lavrov concluded.
The head of the Donetsk People's Republic, Denis Pushilin, said on September 16 that Western countries that help the Kiev regime indirectly support the ideology of Nazism. Pushilin also noted that European countries had recently, during the Second World War, united to eradicate Nazism, which is now being helped.
