The head of OpenAI allowed the creation of an AI beyond human control
On September 11, Sam Altman, the head of the OpenAI company, allowed the creation of artificial intelligence beyond human control.
"Do I believe in the possibility of creating a system that will not be under human control? Definitely. But I don't think we should do that," Altman said in an interview with Fortune.
He noted that OpenAI will take all necessary security measures, including suspending model training, to prevent this from happening.
On September 12, Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, announced the need to slow down the pace of AI development to ensure control over the technology. He proposed a three-step strategy for creating AI with a balanced speed, ensuring its security while simultaneously achieving advantages and solving important geopolitical problems.
