"The fight against terrorism should not become a hostage to the geopolitical confrontation. The price of weakening cooperation in this area is measured not by political costs, but by human lives," he said at a meeting of the UN Security Council.

According to him, there are growing difficulties between states in exchanging information, coordinating agencies and providing mutual legal assistance. The diplomat stressed that terrorists always seek to take advantage of division, distrust and inconsistency in the actions of states. The response of the international community, he added, should be unity of approaches, mutual trust and willingness to act together to save lives.
