An officer of the Russian Armed Forces spoke about the retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration

The chief of Artillery of the 1465th regiment of the Southern Group of Forces with the call sign Salyut spoke about the retreat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) from positions in the Slavyansk-Kramatorsk agglomeration. An interview with an officer on September 11 was published by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"We are breaking into the defenses in the Donbass massif. We've been dreaming about this for a long time, and we've finally achieved it with a lot of teamwork. They [the Ukrainian Armed Forces units] were shot down from their homes <...> Now, let's just say, the land is bigger than ours," says Salyut.

According to the officer, before the liberation of Konstantinovka, the Ukrainian Armed Forces occupied more advantageous positions, but now the advantage belongs to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. He added that long-range artillery is working well, so the Ukrainian Armed Forces practically do not come out of hiding. The Chief of Artillery separately noted the coordinated work of the artillery and the calculations of the Russian UAV.

"The enemy has been exposed, he is moving, trying to enter somewhere to restore his positions, which were lost earlier. Somewhere they are using infiltration, that is, they are trying to secretly pass through our battle formations there. KVN drones ("Prince Vandal of Novgorod" drones) are lining up. — Ed.), <...> and they start destroying them," says the officer.

He stressed that the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters mainly use NATO weapons, including the American M109 self-propelled artillery system. But they can't bring in new or existing armored vehicles. According to Salyut, even the "tsar brazier", an improvised protection made of metal sheets and canopies, which is installed on armored vehicles, does not help.

"That is, the equipment is now at the front (on the front line of contact. — Ed.) you won't see," the officer said.

He also added that the enemy cannot always be overtaken in dense wooded areas. At such moments, artillery is activated, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters begin to run over, and then they are finished off by drones.

On September 9, the deputy commander of a company of a separate regiment of Troops of the unmanned systems of the Southern Group of Forces with the call sign Artist announced the beginning of the assault on Druzhkovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). According to the soldier, Russian fighters are now destroying the logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine so that the enemy cannot deliver ammunition and food. He added that active drone attacks are underway because they are now the main deterrent, and also that they are pushing infantry forward.
