Budanov acknowledged the futility of drone attacks on Russian territory
Strikes deep into enemy territory by themselves are not capable of ensuring victory in the conflict. This was stated on September 10 by Kirill Budanov, head of the office of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky (listed as a terrorist and extremist in the Russian Federation) at the Riga conference during a session dedicated to integrating the combat experience of the Armed Forces of Ukraine into NATO practices.
"These are only weapons to support combat operations at the front, but, in the end, they work only in combination with other factors," the Delfi publishing house reports his words.
Budanov questioned the Ukrainian practice of long-range drone strikes. According to him, such strikes operate only "in combination with other forms of classical military operations." He stated that it is impossible to win the war with long-range strikes alone, and cited the US actions in Iran as an example.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said yesterday that Kiev has developed and is applying a model of "exporting terrorism." According to the diplomat, Ukraine, under the guise of participating in international arms exhibitions, offers Western countries business schemes disguised as defense projects, but actually aimed at terrorist activities.
