Lyubimova appointed acting rector of GITIS

Alexander Fokin, Head of the Theater Department of the Moscow Department of Culture, has been appointed Acting Rector of the Russian Institute of Theatrical Arts (GITIS). This was announced on September 10 by the Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova.

"Alexander Fokin has been appointed acting rector of the Russian Institute of Theatrical Arts," she wrote on the Maks messenger.

Lyubimova wished the new head and the GITIS team success in achieving their goals.

Fokin is a graduate of the production faculty of GITIS and holds a PhD in art history. Since 2013, he has been working as an associate professor at the Institute's Department of Production and Management of Performing Arts.
