Shchelkovsky city Court sentenced to 12 years in a penal colony a man who blew up a car with an entrepreneur at a railway crossing in Fryazino, Moscow region. This was reported on September 9 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

The arrest of the defendant was reported on February 27. According to the investigation, the man planted an explosive device under a Nissan car. As a result, a 50-year-old businessman was injured, who received a shrapnel wound to his legs. A case of attempted murder and illegal trafficking of explosives was opened into the incident.

According to the source, the person involved was engaged in breeding and selling flowers. The injured man bought a plot next door, and conflicts began to occur between them.

On March 1, the suspect was charged with illegal trafficking of explosives and attempted murder of an entrepreneur. It was clarified that he was charged with crimes under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "e" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code ("Attempted murder") and Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of explosives or explosive devices").
