Neon Studio has unveiled the first teaser trailer for the film "Artificial" directed by Luca Guadagnino, dedicated to one of the most high-profile conflicts in the history of OpenAI. In the film, Andrew Garfield played Sam Altman, and Yura Borisov played the co—founder of the company Ilya Sutskever, who found himself at the center of the confrontation over the dismissal of the head of OpenAI in 2023. The film is based on the real events of November 2023. Within a few hours, it became known that OpenAI president Greg Brockman was also leaving the company, and a large-scale crisis had begun within the organization itself.

The film was written by former Saturday Night Live writer Simon Rich, and produced by David Heyman, who worked on all the Harry Potter films. The film was originally supposed to be produced by Amazon MGM Studios, but in the summer of 2026, the company abandoned the project shortly after announcing a large-scale partnership with OpenAI. In addition to Garfield, the trailer features Russian actor Yura Borisov as Ilya Sutskever, Monica Barbaro as Mira Murati, Cooper Hoffman as Greg Brockman, Ike Barinholtz as Elon Musk, and Mark Rylance as Jeffrey Hinton, one of the pioneers of artificial intelligence. Yura Borisov played Ilya Sutskever, one of the co—founders of OpenAI and one of the most famous researchers in the field of artificial intelligence. Born in Nizhny Novgorod, the scientist moved with his family to Israel as a child, and then continued his studies in Canada under the guidance of Jeffrey Hinton, who is called one of the "godfathers" of modern neural networks. It was together with Hinton and Alex Krizhevsky that Sutskever created the AlexNet neural network, which in 2012 made a breakthrough in the field of computer vision and actually launched the modern boom in deep learning.

In 2015, Sutskever became one of the founders of OpenAI and assumed the post of chief scientific officer of the company. During the crisis of 2023, it was he who was on the board of directors that supported the decision to dismiss Altman. However, a few days later, the scientist publicly admitted that he regretted his involvement in the incident, and joined the staff who demanded the return of the head of the company.
