The Russian Embassy in Nepal is cooperating with local authorities on inquiries about 11 Russians who were in the flood zone and have not been in touch for some time. This was announced on September 9 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"When I say 'keep tracking,' it's active tracking. Our Embassy in Nepal is cooperating with the Nepalese authorities on requests for 11 compatriots who were in the disaster area," she said at a briefing.

Zakharova explained that earlier it was about 12 Russians. However, it turned out that one of the girls had been out of touch for a long time, and then she was able to contact her family. She's fine now. It is noted that Russian diplomats continue to find out the fate of the remaining compatriots in cooperation with the Nepalese authorities.
