A suspect in attacks on electrical infrastructure was detained in Germany.

German police have detained a 48-year-old man suspected of several attacks on German electrical infrastructure. This was reported on September 8 by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) newspaper, citing a law enforcement source.

"The suspect in the sabotage of the power grid, Daniel V., was arrested by the police. A 48-year—old man, who has been wanted across Europe since the middle of last week, was found on a country road near the Weisweiler power plant in the Rhine region," the publication says.

The man is suspected of committing several attacks on electrical infrastructure. The police said that Daniel V. had explosives with him when he was arrested, but did not resist.

Daniel V. was wanted for several days. On Friday, September 4, his apartment in Gewelsberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, was searched. Law enforcement officers found explosives. On the same day, the police found his truck, converted into a motorhome, in the woods, but Daniel V. himself was not there.
