Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces spoke about the expansion of the outer ring of encirclement in the Kharkiv region

On September 8, Izvestia correspondent Denis Kulaga showed the work of the North group of forces, which continues to expand the outer encirclement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Kharkiv region.

The group's fighters note that covertly concentrating forces for a decisive strike is an extremely difficult task due to the dense operation of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles.

"However, the command managed to maintain surprise: the accumulation of forces and assets was carried out taking into account the terrain features and under the cover of electronic warfare systems. The main burden of pinning down the enemy and destroying his strongholds fell on the tankers of the 11th regiment," said a soldier with the call sign Mel.

The liberation of Berezniki and Dolgenke by the North group is a direct consequence of this operational reality. The cauldron closes, and after it, like dominoes, the enemy's strongholds fall one after another.

"We met with the allies, thereby creating a very large cauldron. They cut off all supplies to the enemy standing behind them. Accordingly, we will continue to build up our forces and create a further foothold for the continuation of offensive operations," said a soldier with the call sign Arta.

On September 7, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that about 1,700 Ukrainian soldiers were surrounded in the Kharkiv region. It was noted that units of the Russian North group of forces continue to tighten the encirclement and strike at Ukrainian militants in the areas of the settlements of Malaya Volchya, Nefedovka, Varvarovka and Chernoe in the Kharkiv region.

On September 8, the Russian armed forces took control of the settlements of Dolgenke and Berezniki in the Kharkiv region. In total, the enemy lost up to 180 people, an armored combat vehicle and eight vehicles in the area of responsibility of the North group of forces.
