Figure skater Kozlovsky called Boikova's quadruple throw the best in the world
Alexandra Boikova's quadruple throw at the Kinoshita Group Cup tournament in Tokyo was the best in the world. On September 6, her partner Dmitry Kozlovsky told reporters after the victory of the Russian couple.
"A wonderful quadruple ejection — no one, I think, has done better and is not doing it. We had a lot of mistakes that are visible to experts, including on jumps and on todes. We're talking about losing 7-8 points, but for the start of the season and for our age, we showed a good result," Sport-Express quoted him as saying.
Kozlovsky also stressed that athletes enter competitions primarily for the sake of winning. According to him, it is the tournaments won and the awards won that remain in sports history, while the quality of the rental is forgotten over time.
Boikova and Kozlovsky scored 203.66 points and took the first place. Ekaterina Chikmareva and Matvey Yanchenkov came second with 202.55 points, Anastasia Mukhortova and Dmitry Evgeniev came third with 189.94.
Russian figure skater Vladislav Dikigi took first place at the Kinoshita Group Cup international tournament in Tokyo on September 5. He scored 265.68 points based on the results of the short and free programs. Dikidji scored 88.79 points for the short program and 176.89 points for the free program.
It was noted that Japanese fans supported the Russian athletes by unfurling the flags of the Russian Federation. During Dikiji's speech, the Japanese demonstrated the symbols of the state. Also, before the performance of Evgeny Semenenko, a tricolor appeared in the stands.
