The defense of Andrei Pilyugaitsev, a janitor and serial pedophile from Orekhovo-Zuyevo near Moscow, appealed against his arrest. This is stated in the documents reviewed by Izvestia on September 2.

Earlier, Pilyugaytsev was detained for six months. Among the crimes charged against him are the rape of a minor committed by a group of people, sexual violence against persons under the age of 14, the involvement of adolescents in systematic alcohol consumption and antisocial behavior, indecent acts against a minor, as well as the threat of murder.

As previously reported by a source of Izvestia, the janitor pleaded guilty only to involving children in the consumption of alcoholic beverages. At the moment, four episodes of rape of schoolgirls are known, but there may be more victims.

The serial pedophile was arrested in January 2025. At that time, the Main Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region reported that a 34-year-old native of the Bryansk region had raped two teenagers in an abandoned building.

The janitor's victims were girls between the ages of 11 and 14. He ambushed one of the victims in a public garden and raped her in the bushes. He had previously been convicted of theft and robbery.
