Documents about Nazi crimes in Torez during WWII declassified
The Office of the FSB of Russia for the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) on September 2, the day of the liberation of Chistyakovo (now Torez) Archival materials have been declassified from the Nazi invaders, showing the indisputable facts of the occupiers' punitive activities on the territory of this city during the Great Patriotic War.
As follows from archival data, the Nazi invaders shot 535 men, 30 women and 12 children during the occupation of Chistyakov and the workers' settlements nearby. In addition, an investigation into the atrocities of the Fascist occupiers revealed that 4008 people were subjected to torture, violence and torture.
The documents also say that 3,887 men, 5,676 women, and 94 children were abducted into German slavery. In total, 9657 people were enslaved by the German occupation. In addition, it was established that the number of prisoners of war, sick and wounded servicemen who were tortured, tortured and killed amounted to 6,994 people.
It is known from the archives that after the occupation of the Chistyakovsky district by the Nazi invaders, a camp for prisoners of war of soldiers and commanders of the Red Army was organized. It is specified that over 3,000 people were evicted to the streets and left without a roof over their heads to make way for the camp.
"More than 4 thousand prisoners of war of the Red Army and commanders were allowed through the organized camp, of which more than 6 thousand people died from torture, starvation and executions. On August 29, the Office of the FSB of Russia for the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) declassified archival documents on the activities of an accomplice of the Nazis and the chief of police of Ilovaysk, F. Stadnitsky during the Great Patriotic War. According to the materials, he personally participated in the arrests, torture and executions of hundreds of Soviet citizens.
According to archival data, Stadnitsky and his subordinates detained more than 100 people. Some of those arrested were beaten during interrogations. After that, the people were handed over to the SD and Gestapo officers for execution.
