Transportation tickets in Russia will be standardized from September 1

New requirements for issuing tickets for public transport have come into force in Russia since September 1. The documents have received a standardized form and must contain a single list of mandatory information. This information follows from the text of the order of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

The changes to the departmental order are intended to provide legal clarity and strengthen the protection of passengers' rights. Now all tickets for urban automobile and ground electric transport must include the details of the ticket itself, the baggage receipt, the receipt for hand luggage, as well as the order for transportation on request, RIA Novosti reported. The introduced regulations apply to both one-time and subscription travel cards.
