Air defense systems destroyed 12 drones over the Voronezh region

The Air Defense Forces destroyed 12 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the Voronezh Region. This was announced on August 31 by the governor of the region, Alexander Gusev.

"Last night, 12 UAVs were destroyed by the air defense forces on duty <...>," the message says in the Maks messenger.

According to the governor, the drones were intercepted over one urban district and five districts of the Voronezh Region.

Gusev clarified that, according to preliminary information, there was no information about casualties or damage.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a record number of drones in a day, but the Russian air defense system stood the test of strength.

On August 31, the Governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusar, announced that air defense systems had shot down more than 30 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the region overnight. According to him, in the Sholokhov district, as a result of falling UAV debris, two fires occurred in the forest on an area of 0.6 and 0.1 hectares.
