The United Russia Party intends to seek tougher responsibility for attacks on medical workers and strengthen their legal protection. This was announced on August 30 by the first deputy chairman of the State Duma Committee on Health Protection, Badma Bashankaev.

"This concerns the organization of field trips, the protection of brigades and clear interaction with law enforcement agencies in situations where there is a threat to the life and health of medical personnel," Bashankayev's statement is quoted by RIA Novosti.

According to him, in 2025, there were more than 1.5 thousand attacks on ambulance staff. At the same time, as the deputy noted, some of these cases could remain unregistered.

Bashankayev also stated the need to create safer working conditions for health workers. In particular, we are talking about organizing visits by ambulance crews, protecting employees and interacting with law enforcement agencies in the event of a threat to their life and health.

On June 21, State Duma deputies headed by Yaroslav Nilov, Chairman of the Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, proposed fixing minimum wage guarantees for full-time medical workers. It was noted that the measure is aimed at ensuring a decent level of wages and the formation of an understandable system of guarantees for health workers.
