Calculations of FPV drones destroyed the equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye region

Calculations of shock FPV drones of the troops of unmanned systems (UAVs) of the Ulyanovsk Guards Airborne Forces (Airborne Forces) of the Dnepr group of forces struck targets and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Orekhovsky direction in the Zaporozhye region. This was announced by the Russian Defense Ministry on August 30.

During one of the combat exits, the operators identified a control point for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Ukrainian Armed Forces, from where attack drones were launched towards Russian positions. The intelligence also detected the movement of enemy equipment and ground-based robotic complexes, which were used to deliver ammunition, food and communications equipment. After the coordinates were transmitted, it was decided to strike using radio-controlled and fiber-optic FPV drones.

As a result of the hits, enemy UAV crews, armored vehicles and robotic platforms were hit. In addition, in the "free hunting" mode, the operators discovered and destroyed several enemy pickup trucks. The Ministry of Defense noted that the use of FPV drones with fiber-optic control can reduce the effectiveness of enemy electronic warfare.

"The enemy is trying to establish new routes every day, but in the process of conducting aerial reconnaissance, new routes are being identified. <...> [There is] constant monitoring of all enemy movement routes, we determine the time when they transport their calculations to their positions. All this is stopped and fire damage is inflicted," said the deputy commander of a separate battalion of the Ulyanovsk Guards Airborne unit with the call sign Berkut.

In addition, the paratrooper units use night ambush tactics. Before conducting operations, military personnel determine the likely routes of movement of enemy equipment. Attack drones are deployed in the prepared areas, which are used when targets appear.

On August 29, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation had attacked facilities of the fuel and energy complex of Ukraine and logistics centers used in the interests of the enemy during the day. It was noted that the Russian Army also eliminated the temporary deployment points of Ukrainian militants and foreign mercenaries in 147 districts, as well as storage sites for unmanned aerial vehicles and their assembly workshops.
