Bob Bramley, a pilot who set a record at 16, died in Australia.

Australian pilot Bob Bramley, who set a world record as a teenager, died in a plane crash in the northern part of the country. This was reported on August 27 by Pulse Tasmania, citing the victim's family and the police.

"23-year-old Robert "Bob" Bramley <... He was the only passenger on the Air Frontier plane that crashed in the Gulf of Carpentaria on August 25," the publication says.

On Thursday, August 27, the Northern Territory Police confirmed that there was no longer any chance of finding Bramley alive. The young man's family also issued an official statement announcing his death.

"Bob has left us," the newspaper quoted the pilot's relatives as saying.

Bob Bramley gained fame in 2019. At the age of 16, he flew around Australia alone, covering a distance of 15,000 km. Bramley became the youngest person in history to make such a trip. In recent years, he has worked as a professional pilot for a charter airline.
