A criminal investigation into the illegal extraction of aquatic biological resources has been completed in the Khabarovsk Territory. The materials of the case with the approved indictment were sent to the court.

According to IA AmurMedia, the police revealed illegal extraction of chum salmon during operational activities in the fall of 2024. A 25-year-old local resident was detained near the village of Verkhnetambovskoye. He went out on the water on a small boat and set up a net.

During the spawning period, he managed to catch 11 Amur chum salmon. The damage caused to aquatic biological resources was estimated at 234 thousand rubles. The accused fully reimbursed him during the investigation period.

The young man faces up to 2 years in prison. He is under an obligation to appear. The boat and the net were seized from him.

Earlier it was reported that inspectors of the Amur hunting Supervision detained a group of poachers who illegally obtained two ungulates in the Tynda district. According to preliminary data, the damage to the nature of the region is estimated at 450 thousand rubles.
