A man died as a result of flooding of a private house in the city of Tomari on Sakhalin after heavy rainfall. This was reported on August 25 in the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Sakhalin region.

"The body was found in one of the houses on Parkhomenko Street in the city of Tomari as a result of flooding caused by heavy rainfall," the publication says in the Maks messenger.

Investigators conducted an inspection of the scene. No injuries were found that could indicate a criminal nature of the death. A forensic medical examination has been ordered to determine the exact cause of the 76-year-old man's death. A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the audit.
