As a result of an APU strike on a house in Melitopol, a man was killed and a woman was injured.

A man was killed and a woman was injured as a result of a night attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the residential sector of Melitopol. About this on August 24 the governor of the Zaporozhye region Evgeny Balitsky reported.

"As a result of a targeted strike on an apartment building on Catherine the Great Street, a man was killed. A woman born in 1954 was injured," he said on his channel in "Max".

Balitsky added that emergency services evacuated 32 people from the site of the strike, as a strong fire broke out in four apartments on the seventh and eighth floors due to the impact of ammunition.

Restoration work and an inspection of the surrounding area are continuing at the scene of the incident. The city administration and relevant social agencies have already begun to form support measures for all affected citizens and the family of the deceased man.
