The first passenger flight from Damascus arrived in Moscow in a year and a half
The first Syrian Airlines passenger plane from Damascus has arrived in Moscow in more than a year and a half. This was announced on August 16 at Sheremetyevo Airport in Moscow.
"The plane arrived at 06:44 Moscow time," the air company told TASS.
It is noted that the passengers of the flight will undergo the necessary procedures after arrival and receive their luggage at Terminal C. The return flight to Damascus is scheduled in a little over an hour. A source in the Middle East air traffic control services said that on the way from Syria to Russia, the aircraft passed through the airspace of Turkey, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The departure of the plane to Moscow became known earlier that day. It was clarified that the return flight from Moscow is scheduled for 08:10 Moscow time.
