Anglo-Saxon countries are forcing some states to adhere to an unfriendly policy towards the Russian Federation. This was announced on August 15 by Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of Russia, Executive Secretary of the Forum's Organizing Committee.
He noted that many Western companies have been operating in Russia as Russian companies for a long time. Another part of businessmen, having agreed on clear terms with their governments, continues to work in the Russian Federation without attracting the attention of Russophobes in their countries.
"Some countries that are considered unfriendly simply cannot argue with the Anglo-Saxons on the issue of sanctions. They are in the unfriendly bloc, but in fact, they simply do not have a choice," TASS quoted him as saying.
According to Kobyakov, even unfriendly countries are showing interest in the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), which will be held from September 1 to 4 in Vladivostok. European companies and businessmen are among them, although it is quite difficult for them to resist the Anglo—Saxons in matters of sanctions against Russia.
On August 6, Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov said that the Russian market had become freer after the departure of Western companies, which opened up new business opportunities for Russia and Central Asian countries. According to him, the sanctions pressure has become an incentive for the restructuring of trade, financial and economic ties, as a result, Russia's cooperation with Central Asian countries has increased.
Robert Agee, Chief Executive Officer of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Russia, said on July 15 that American businesses had suffered losses of $200 billion over the past four years due to the imposition of anti-Russian sanctions.
