An administrative offense report was drawn up against an employee of one of the higher educational institutions in Kiev for using the Russian language. About this on August 15th Igor Spiridonov, a representative of the Ukrainian Language Ombudsman, said.

"We are talking about an episode recorded at the end of July this year. Russian Facebook page: "During a telephone conversation with a citizen about registration of an appeal and document management, the employee used a non—state (Russian) language, and also addressed a colleague," he wrote on his Facebook page (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation).

Spiridonov clarified that the reason for the harassment was a telephone conversation with a local resident, during which the head of the unit communicated in Russian when discussing document management issues. A citizen of Ukraine recorded a conversation with a university employee and complained to the supervisory authorities.

"The country.ua" reported on August 2 that two residents of the Lviv region were forced to publicly apologize for listening to songs by Russian artists.
