Protesters in Serbia poured paint on the streets to end the protest

An anti-government protest in Serbia's Valjevo ended with protesters spraying the streets with paint in places where clashes with police had previously occurred. Journalist Sergey Petrov told Izvestia about this on August 15.

"The final performance of this march is the spilling of red paint in the place where the clashes with the police took place (in August 2025. — Ed.)," he said.

The footage shows that some of the drawings look like silhouettes of people outlined in chalk. There are still protesters with posters and flags on the streets of Valevo, but the march is gradually coming to an end.

The rally in Valevo became known on August 14. The action is timed to coincide with the events of last year, when protesters clashed with law enforcement officers in the city. Students and residents from different regions of the country took to the streets of Valevo.

On August 12, 2025, protests took place in Serbian Vrbas, during which almost 70 people were injured. A group of citizens of the republic expressed dissatisfaction in front of the building of the Serbian Progressive Party and its supporters. On August 13, it was reported that 64 people were injured in the protests, 16 of them policemen. The actions covered the offices of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party in Novi Sad and other cities of Serbia.
