In Romania, in the north of Tulcea county, five kilometers from the border with Ukraine, a drone of unknown origin crashed, and an emergency danger warning was issued to residents of the area. This was reported on August 14 by the Romania Journal.

The Ministry of National Defense (MApN) reported that they received a call about a drone crash near the village of Lunkavitsa. According to the military, the drone crashed in a wooded area, exploded and caught fire. There was no information about casualties or material damage.

"The aerial target was not detected by the radar surveillance systems of the Ministry of National Defense, as it was flying at a very low altitude," the ministry said in a statement.

The incident is under investigation. A group of military specialists has been sent to the crash site with the support of the IAR PUMA 330 SOCAT helicopter.

On the night of August 13, Romania also took off two F-16 fighter jets from the 86th airbase in Borce after detecting a group of drones near the border with Ukraine. The military recorded a group of five drones in the Ismail area, one of them entered the country's airspace about 2 km south of the city of Pardina.

On August 2, the Romanian Ministry of Defense also reported the fall of UAV fragments in the area of the river border with Ukraine at 15:09 Moscow time. After that, on August 11, Romanian divers eliminated two unmanned aerial vehicles in the Black Sea near the large offshore gas project Neptun Deep.

The Russian Embassy in Bucharest told Izvestia that the Romanian authorities had not provided any real facts and evidence that would link the drones that fell on the territory of the country with Russia.
