The World Motorsport Council (WMSC) has lifted restrictions on the performance of Russian and Belarusian athletes in international competitions — they will be able to participate with a flag and anthem. This was announced on August 13 on the website of the International Automobile Federation (FIA).

"Russian and Belarusian pilots, national teams, individual participants and officials are allowed to participate in international and regional competitions without any restrictions. The requirement to sign a commitment to observe neutrality no longer applies," the statement said.

The FIA added that the demonstration of national symbols, colors and flags of Russia and Belarus and the performance of national anthems are now allowed at competitions.

Also on this day, the Presidium of the World Dance Sports Federation (WDSF) lifted all restrictions on the participation of Russian athletes in tournaments under the auspices of the organization.
