A court in Egypt has sentenced to death the murderer of Russian Svetlana Medvedeva in Hurghada. This was reported on August 12 by RIA Novosti with reference to the text of the verdict.

"The court, determining the punishment commensurate with the crime, did not consider it possible to show leniency and mercy, having unanimously decided that the death penalty would be a fair punishment," the message says.
