On August 11, Sergey Rybalchenko, Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on family issues, proposed introducing a special allowance to pay for babysitting services as part of demographic support measures so that families with young children could reduce child care costs.

"Babysitting services will always be expensive, therefore, as one of the ways out, I see the need to introduce a nanny allowance that would help families with children pay for such care. This would give parents the opportunity to go to work," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Rybalchenko also recalled that the country is developing a system of "social nannies." The project operates within the framework of social services and affects, in particular, large families, families with disabled children and families of participants in a special military operation (SVO).

At the same time, according to the expert, it is important to expand the number of recipients of support and move from short-term care to longer-term child care formats.

On August 6, Vladislav Grib, Deputy Secretary of the Civic Chamber of Russia, presented his initiative to introduce a single federal payment to families whose children go to school. Speaking about the potential launch of the project, he suggested that parents could be given 15,000 rubles each in 2026.
