Rescuers have been searching for a man missing in the taiga in Yakutia for more than two weeks.

In the Nyurbinsky district of Yakutia, searches are continuing for a resident of the village of Akana, who disappeared in the forest after leaving the village of Chkalov. This was reported on August 11 by the Yakutia Rescue Service.

"A man born in 1978 left the village of Chkalov on July 26, lost his way and has not yet been found," the Telegram channel says.

The missing man's tractor was found about 1.5 km from the place from where he set off. Afanasy Noev, the head of the Nyurbinsky search and rescue squad, said that rescuers manage to find traces of a man in forest clearings, but when they enter the dense taiga, they get lost.

According to Noev, the man is constantly moving and practically does not stop, which greatly complicates the work of rescuers. The main difficulty remains the inaccessible terrain: there are practically no roads in the forests, so the search engines travel on foot and explore the territory manually. Unmanned aircraft is additionally used to check remote areas.

On August 10, operational services reported that a search was underway in Serpukhov, Moscow region, for a 12-year-old child who had disappeared near the Oka River. It is noted that divers are involved in the search operation.
