The new version of the Skat unmanned complex, designed for reconnaissance, has increased speed and resistance to FPV interception. This was stated by Alan Lushnikov, head of Kalashnikov Concern JSC, member of the Bureau of the Union of Machine Builders.

"The next version of the Skat-220 is already ready with increased speed and resistance to the effects of the enemy's FPV air defense," Lushnikov said in an interview with TASS CEO Andrei Kondrashov.

According to the head of the concern, Kalashnikov now deals not only with well-known small arms, but also with tactical weapons, including the tandem Skat-350M and Kub-10ME, which occupy a special place. In addition, Lushnikov stressed that the Skat series drones are the best at the moment.

"Four hours in flight, retransmission. The picture quality is very good, the video channels are rearranged directly in flight, that is, it is resistant to suppression and enjoys well—deserved popularity among our drones," he stressed.

Kalashnikov announced on July 15 that it had successfully completed periodic tests of the improved 2023 5.45mm AK-12 assault rifle and handed over a large batch of weapons to the state customer. The concern stressed that during the current year, the shipment of AK-12s under the state contract is proceeding in full and in accordance with the schedule.
