It would be risky to change the terms of the Family Mortgage program before October 1, 2026, since the consequences of such a decision cannot yet be fully assessed. This was announced on August 9 by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

"The risks are big. We cannot fully calculate the consequences of the recalculation. In addition, the presidential administration conducted an opinion poll, and people say that 6% of them are satisfied, but they are not ready for more," he said in an interview with TASS.

Khusnullin admitted that additional benefits may appear in the future, in particular for large families. At the same time, he stressed, when making decisions, it is necessary to take into account the market situation and the high burden on state finances associated with the key rate of the Bank of Russia.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that the authorities will monitor the market situation until October 1, after which they will be able to return to discussing possible changes.

Russian President Vladimir Putin, during a meeting with Khusnullin on July 16, said that a family mortgage is the most reliable tool for supporting citizens. The Deputy Prime Minister, in turn, noted that, despite various circumstances, family mortgages continue to be in demand among the population. According to him, citizens continue to apply for it at a rate of 6%. In addition, he stressed that all obligations under existing mortgage lending programs are being fulfilled in full.
